This webinar is essential for all child and play therapists. Children’s mental health is under pressure and the prevalence of suicidal ideation in children is occurring at younger and younger ages. Child and play therapists are often the first service provider a child and/or their parent/caregiver shares such concerns with. This webinar equips child and play therapist with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively respond to your child who presents with suicidal ideation.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1) Understand the prevalence of suicidal ideation in children
2) Identify the clinical indicators that your child may be experiencing suicidal ideation
3) Develop a Safety Plan in response to a child’s suicidal ideation
4) Skills for supporting and working with parent/caregivers and the systems in enacting the Safety Plan
