Particularly relevant for private practice owners providing counselling/therapy to children and families, this workshop supports you to develop your service delivery model and framework of practice. Reflective, practical, action-focussed, and grounded in the needs of the child and your private practice, business, service and/or program.

Key learning objectives

· Identify parameters you experience which pose challenges to best practice when working therapeutically with children (e.g. funding or program models such as Medicare, working with systems around the child), and service delivery approaches to overcome these.

· Gain clarity about where your service is located within the context of the broader mental health and community services systems.

· Ability to articulate your clinical practice and service delivery frameworks when working with children and families.

· Develop a service delivery design action plan for your private practice or work context to better integrate principles of child-sensitive practice.

Our workshop, BE MY CO-THERAPIST: ENGAGING CAREGIVERS AND SYSTEMS IN CHILD THERAPY, has been designed as an adjunct to this workshop, and the recording of this workshop is also available online anytime.
